The American Spring will be forward, not back

The constitution of hope and a future.

A tweet caught my eye today, and stirred up a need to write about the American situation and where we ought to be heading.  The tweet promoted a Human Events opinion piece by Jane Coleman, which is well worth the time and easy to commend to your perusal.

It’s about CRT as it is manifested in America’s schools, Continue reading “The American Spring will be forward, not back”

Mordor falling?

Catching up to the tower of lies.

Maybe that’s a tad optimistic.  Maybe we’re just starting the battle for Gondor.  Or something; you figure out what LOTR analogy you prefer.

Perhaps the moment is the much earlier one (in the trilogy) when the sword of Elendil is re-forged.  OK, OK, I’ll stop.

What I’m suggesting is that we’ve reached a turning point.  At PJ Media, Roger Simon asks, “What if it’s all true?”  He’s referring to the numerous reports of fact, large and small – some well established, some not – that added together mean “President Barack Obama” is a walking lie of such gargantuan proportions, the human mind can hardly compass it. Pentagon EO trainers learn of “White Male Club”

Liquidate the White males.

Your tax dollars at work for you.  Had to investigate this one for myself, as it seemed too surreal to be, well, real.  But the documentation is preserved online.  Behold, the Soviet-style reeducation project of the United States military, complete with mantras, slogans, and invidious allegations with which to berate and ostracize the enemies of the people.

Fox News’s Todd Starnes broke the story on 31 October.  The training manual used by the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI), dated April 2012, contains an extensive chapter on “white male privilege,” which makes, among others, the following points: Continue reading “Pentagon EO trainers learn of “White Male Club””

Liberty 101: The principle of establishment

Liberty DOESN’T “happen.”

fifeanddrumDevelopments at home and abroad are forcing Americans to think anew about the meaning of liberty and the proper nature and function of government.  What is important to us, and what must we do to keep it?  How do we change the things that manifestly aren’t working, and are in fact doing us daily harm?

Liberty 101 is a series devoted to discussing these topics.  And the subject for today is what I call the principle of establishment.  Very simply, the principle of establishment recognizes that liberty and the protection of natural rights Continue reading “Liberty 101: The principle of establishment”

Facts and implications: Notes on Diana West’s American Betrayal

Fact: Stalin’s Soviet agents. Implication about WWII?

American BetrayalWhat are the implications of the extensively documented fact that agents of the Soviet government were employed in high positions in the United States government in the 1930s and 1940s?  Do we have a skewed view of World War II because we have failed to address that question?  If our perspective changed, would we judge that we didn’t even win World War II – but, to be more accurate, Stalin did?

Diana West’s remarkable new book, American Betrayal: The Secret Assault on Our Nation’s Character, compiles some potential answers to these questions.  As West argues early in the book, Continue reading “Facts and implications: Notes on Diana West’s American Betrayal”
